What is a Position Type?
Openreq has established the position types below to help you to categorize yourself from the prospective of a potential employer. Please read our definitions for the nine position types below and pick the one that best describes your most recent and pertinent skill-set in staffing. This position type may not reflect your actual title. You may enter your actual title later in the registration process.

Corporate Recruiter

Account Executive
Any individual producer spending at least 75% of their time in sales or business development; either inside or outside sales - whether it be temporary staffing, contract, senior level contract, or a combination of temp/perm. Examples of titles may include: Account Executive, Business Development Manager, National Account Manager, National Sales Mgr, etc.

Recruiter - Perm
Any recruiter spending at least 75% of their time focused on placing candidates in full time, permanent positions; usually working in a full desk capacity (both sales and recruiting). Examples of titles may include: Direct Hire Recruiter, Permanent Placement Recruiter, Executive Recruiter, etc.   

Recruiter – Temp/Contract
Any recruiter working full-time for a staffing firm that spends at least 75% of their time in a recruiting role focused on placing candidates on a temporary, contract, or senior level contract basis. Examples of titles may include Recruiter, Senior Recruiter, Recruiting Specialist, etc.

Staffing Professional
Any individual producer on the temp/contract side that is focused on working a blended desk (both sales and recruiting) where the bulk of their time is divided between the functions of sales, recruiting, and possibly other “desk” related functions. Examples of titles may include Staffing Manager, Staffing Specialist, Staffing Consultant, etc.

Coordinator/Sourcer
Any individual spending at least 75% of their time in a staffing support role including sourcing candidates, pre-screening, checking references, documentation, and other staffing support tasks. Examples of titles may include: Coordinator, Staffing Coordinator, Sourcer, Research Assistant, Research Analyst, etc.

Account Mgr/Operations
Any individual focused on managing one or more large accounts; or, any individual focused in an operational capacity including operations management, training, and other roles. Examples of titles may include: Account Manager, National Account Mgr, Operations Mgr, Operations Specialist, Trainer, etc.

Branch Manager
Any individual tasked with the responsibility of running one branch office and all of the functions therein – including sales, recruiting, desk functions, administrative, etc.; including both producing and non-producing branch mgrs. Examples of titles may include: Branch Mgr, Practice Director, Branch Director, etc.

Regional Mgr/Senior Mngt
Any individual managing 2 or more branch offices; or any individual in a senior management capacity within a staffing firm. Examples of titles to include: Regional Manager, Area Mgr, Regional VP, National Director, Executive Dir, Vice President, President, CEO, etc.

Corporate Recruiter
Any internal corporate recruiter focused on recruiting solely for the internal hiring needs of their employer.
